I'm doing something different this year for my end of year leader awards. I've done the service pins and giving small gifts in the past, but this year we are having a get together at our home for all of our leaders and we will be having a catored dinner from a local restaurant. The leaders all felt like this was a good idea. It will give us a time to socialize outside of the club night and time to reflect back on this year. I'm hoping to get commitments from each of my leaders/listeners for next year at this fellowship also. Any other ideas for what to do for our leaders?

Congrats on the first forum post! The leader dinner is a great idea. Having it on the same night as club once the year is over is also a good idea because many people already have that time blocked off in their weekly schedule. Here are some other ideas. One, find out how many kids completed their books and how many sections were done. This may be difficult if you have a very large club, but it is always encouraging to leaders to hear the details of how their work is making an impact. Knowing that if, say maybe 50 handbooks were completed for 70% of the club totaling up to 4,000+ verses is a HUGE encouragement! You could give out "funny" awards--such as "most hit with dodgeballs" or "best Sparks song leader" or something like that is also fun. Also, invite your pastor to come and have him share with your leaders the importance of their service. I hope this helps! Let me know if you need more ideas!
