Pastor-Commander-Director-Leader Meetings
Dear Awana Commander,
Make plans to attend a local PCDL (Pastor-Commander-Director-Leader) meeting! These free, two-hour informational meetings are sure to get you and your leaders fired up to start the year off right. We encourage all leaders to consider attending, but especially Pastors, Commanders, and Directors. These PCDL meetings will help you in your preparation for your club.
PCDL meetings will let you know of any upcoming product and program changes (did you know Cubbies is changing in 2013?), the events calendar for the next year, and important information about Awana Ministry Conference 2012. You won’t want to miss these meetings! Plan to attend, have fun, and be equipped for the upcoming club year!

What is a CARE Group meeting?
Church Access to Resources and Encouragement
The goal is to offer all Awana leaders an opportunity to preview and gain access to tools that will help you be more effective in reaching and making disciples of the kids and teens in your Awana ministry. All leaders of all programs are encouraged to attend.
What we will cover:
The new "Awana Locator" ● Club Clinic trainings ● A special "Thank You" with Awana President Jack Eggar and "You Belong" recruitment videos ● Leader recruiting/retention helps ● Updates on “Student Leaders” and uniforms ● Tips for motivating clubbers to finish their handbooks ● Help for leader background checks ● What is a “Church Caller?” ● A time to share your struggles and praises with other leaders ● Plans for future CARE Group Meetings ● And MORE!
FREE for each church that pre-registers:
All the handouts, flyers, videos etc. presented at the meeting on a CD ● A copy of the AMC Connection Kit ● Chances to win a copy of the TruthSeekers Large Group Time Lessons (each leader you pre-register online will be put in the drawing.) Multiple ways of using this new tool will be discussed at the meetings.
Note: An offering for the North East Texas Awana ministry will be taken at each location.
What do you need to bring?
• ALL your leaders if possible.
• Enough snacks for your leaders plus a few more (chips, dip, cookies, etc. - the host church will provide coffee and soft drinks.)
• A desire to improve your Awana Ministry and encourage your leaders!
