Dear Leaders and Ministry Partners,

The past several weeks have been wonderful. At the beginning of Spring Break I had the privilege of presenting the Awana ministry to two churches that were destroyed during Hurricane Ike. Both churches felt God leading them to reach their communities with Awana and as your missionary; this is what makes me the happiest. Knowing that for every church, there will be folks like you who have a passion to minister to a world in need is absolutely wonderful. Keep up the great work, pray for your neighbor and thank the Lord for every opportunity you have to share His great love. You are great!

Funny
The story is told of a boy whose Dad took him to a play one Saturday night and spent a lot for the tickets. Afterwards the Dad talked about how good the play was an how it was worth every penny. The next morning coming home from Church the mother asked the Father what he thought of church. And the boy interrupted and said, "Oh, I can tell you. It must not have been a good show cause Dad only threw in 2 bucks."

Words To Grow On
God has uniquely designed and equipped each one of us for a specific purpose while here on earth. While it's true that we can choose to go our own way and become "self-made people" so to speak, if we truly want to be successful by God's standards, we have to put aside worldly ambitions and trust God to place us in the position where we can best be used by Him. It is a high calling to carry out; but whether we are led into ministry or called to a corporate career, we truly can be what God calls us to be.

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers.
